Complex Ancestries

I was intrigued at what 2e will be doing with the aasimar being able to be any race and not their own, so here is my take on that. I call them Complex Ancestries.

A Complex Ancestry must be taken at level 1. You pick a heritage from another Ancestry but must take your level 1 feet from the Wild Ancestry list. You count as the Race of your chosen heritage for purposes of spells/knowledge checks. Whenever you would gain an Ancestry feat you may take it from either.

Next week I'll be introducing 6 of these complex ancestries centered around animals simply called the Wild Ancestry. Here is a small sample of what I'm working on.

WILD:

Forced to hunt even the most dangerous animals for food the residents of Vedia have consumed many magical beasts and in time began to develop characteristics that resemble them.

Ancestry Feats:

Fox Ancestry:   Wild 1

You gain some aspects of a fox, gaining ears, a tail, and sharper teeth which grant you a 1d4 Bite with the agile trait. In addition you have gained some of the foxes natural cunning and become trained in Deception.

Wolf Ancestry:    Wild 1

You gain some aspects of a wolf, gaining ears, a tail, and sharper teeth which grant you a 1d4 Bite with the agile trait. In addition you gain the scent ability and increase your proficiency with perception by 1 step, this cannot increase your proficiency beyond expert, if it would you gain a +1 bonus instead.

Cat Ancestry:   Wild 1

You gain some aspects of a cat, gaining ears, a tail, and sharp claws which grant you two 1d4 claws with the agile trait. In addition you become trained in Acrobatics and move at full speed while using the balance action.
